Expansion Valve

  1. Connect manifold gauge set to compressor. Run engine at fast idle with A/C on. Ensure low pressure gauge shows a reading of 21.3-35.5 psi (1.5-2.5 kg/cm2 ).
  2. If reading is less than 21.3 psi (1.5 kg/cm2 ), check expansion valve and receiver-drier. Replace components as necessary. If reading is more than 35.5 psi (2.5 kg/cm2 ), tighten remote bulb holder or replace expansion valve.
