DTC Confirmation Test

  1. Ensure intake air temperature is 6.8-158°F (-14-70°C), vehicle is at an altitude of 9150 feet or below, and barometric pressure is 74 kPa or more. Ensure DTCs P0101, P0102, P0103, P0116, P0117, P0118 and P0135 are not set. Turn ignition off, connect scan tool and turn ignition on. Clear DTCs.   2. Start engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature. Drive vehicle at speeds of 40-50 MPH with throttle steady for 2 minutes. Stop vehicle. Check for DTC P0154. See RETRIEVING DTCS under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article.
