Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

NOTE: DTCs cannot be cleared by disconnecting EBCM (ABS actuator assembly), battery or turning ignition switch to LOCK position.
  1. Ensure ignition is off. Connect jumper wire between ground terminal and diagnosis switch terminal on diagnostic connector. See Figure . Turn ignition on. Disconnect and reconnect jumper wire at ground terminal at least 5 times within 10 seconds. Turn ignition off.
  2. Test drive vehicle. Recheck for DTCs. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  . Ensure only DTC 12 is displayed.
