Removal & Installation

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove front wheel(s). On 2WD models, remove hub center cover. On 4WD models, remove drive flange. Remove ABS wheel speed sensor.
    2. CAUTION: DO NOT allow caliper to hang from brake hose.
  2. Remove brake caliper and support with wire hook. Remove 4 screws securing wheel bearing lock washer. Remove lock washer and lock nut. Remove hub complete with wheel bearing and seals. Place hub in vise. Remove sensor rotor by prying evenly from hub using a screwdriver.
  3. To install, place hub in hydraulic press. Using a 3.94" (100 mm) inner diameter steel pipe, evenly press new ABS rotor on hub. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
