Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor

CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR VOLTAGE

Application PCM Connector/Terminal No. (1) (2) Volts
Esteem & Swift B2 & Ground (3) 0-5
Vitara 1.6L C51-2-26 & Ground (3) 0-6
Vitara 2.0L C51-2-26 & C51-3-26 (3) 0-6
Grand Vitara B-9 & B20 (4) 0-6
(1) For PCM connector and terminal identification, see PIN VOLTAGE/CIRCUIT RESISTANCE CHARTS article.
(2) Measured at PCM with ignition on.
(3) Specified voltage varies from low to high as magnet is passed across face of sensor (1 mm distance)
(4) Test is performed while slowly turning crankshaft.
