DTC 15: "G" Sensor
- Inspect "G" sensor installation. "G" sensor is located next to parking brake handle. Ensure "G" sensor is mounted securely. Repair as needed. Go to next step.
- Inspect harness connector. Ensure connector is clean and free of corrosion. Repair as needed. Inspect "G" sensor. See "G" SENSOR under COMPONENT TESTING. Replace "G" sensor as needed. If "G" sensor is okay, replace ABS actuator assembly and retest.
- Disconnect ABS actuator assembly harness connector. Disconnect "G" sensor harness connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Black/White wire) on "G" sensor harness connector. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, repair open Black/White wire.
- Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Orange/White wire) on sensor harness connector. If voltage is present, repair Orange/White wire for short to voltage. If voltage is not present, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Check continuity of Orange/White wire between terminal No. 2 on "G" sensor harness connector and terminal No. A14 on ABS actuator harness connector. See Figure . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open Orange/White wire.
- Check continuity of Orange/White wire between ground and terminal No. 2 on "G" sensor harness connector. If continuity exists, repair Orange/White wire for short to ground. If continuity does not exist, go to next step.
- Check continuity of Orange/Green wire between terminal No. 1 on "G" sensor harness connector and terminal No. A4 on ABS actuator harness connector. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open Orange/Green wire.
- Check continuity of Orange/Green wire between ground and terminal No. 1 on "G" sensor harness connector. If continuity exists, repair Orange/Green wire for short to ground. If continuity does not exist, replace ABS actuator assembly.
