Test A: Abs Warning Light Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition on. If other warning lights operate, go to next step. If none of the warning lights operate, go to step  4 .
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS actuator assembly connector. Turn ignition on. If ABS warning light is illuminated, replace ABS actuator assembly. If ABS warning light is not illuminated, go to next step.
  3. Remove combination meter. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Check ABS warning light bulb. Replace bulb if necessary. If bulb is okay, repair open Blue/Orange wire between combination meter and terminal A17 on ABS control module harness connector. See Fig 1 .
  4. Check IG (20-amp) fuse. Replace fuse if necessary. If fuse is okay, repair open Black/White wire between IG fuse and combination meter (instrument cluster).
