Canister Purge Control Valve: Testing and Inspection

Vacuum Passage Inspection




Start engine and run it at idle speed. Disconnect vacuum hose from EVAP canister purge valve. With finger placed against hose disconnected, check that vacuum is applied.
If it is not applied, clean vacuum passage by blowing compressed air.

EVAP Canister Purge Valve Inspection
Check EVAP canister purge valve referring to "EVAP Canister Purge Valve Inspection" of DTC P0440/P0455 Diag. Flow Table.
If found malfunction, replace.
