Compressor Replacement

Preliminary Procedure Recover the refrigerant. Refer to REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND RECHARGING . Remove fascia support bracket. Refer to FRONT BUMPER FASCIA UPPER SUPPORT REPLACEMENT . Remove upper radiator support. Refer to RADIATOR REPLACEMENT . Tip: Lift and support radiator to aid in compressor removal. Remove A/C hose assembly for compressor. Refer to COMPRESSOR HOSE ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT . Remove drive belt. Refer to REMOVAL PROCEDURE . Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
1	Remove A/C compressor bolts, (Qty 4). Tightening torque 50 N.m (37 lb ft) Tip: Mandatory torque sequence required upon installation. Refer to circled bolt sequence in graphic.
2	Remove A/C compressor through opening between cradle and radiator. Tip: Disconnect all electrical connections.
