DTC P0335: Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor CKT Malfunction

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect CKP sensor harness connector. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between CKP sensor terminals. Resistance should be 360-460 ohms at 68°F (20°C). Measure resistance between each component terminal and ground. Resistance should be one megohm or greater. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace CKP sensor. Retest system.
  2. Visually check CKP sensor and crankshaft pulley for incorrect installation or damage. Repair as necessary. Retest system. If sensor and pulley are okay, go to next step.
  3. Check White/Red wire or White/Black wire between PCM harness connector and CKP sensor harness connector for open or short. Repair as necessary. Retest system. If circuits are okay, check for an intermittent problem. See TESTS W/O CODES article. Repair as necessary. Retest system.
