DTC P0141: Ho2S No. 2 Heater Circuit Malfunction

  1. Start engine and let idle. Using a voltmeter, backprobe PCM 26-pin harness connector. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 4 (Pink wire). Voltage should be greater than 10 volts. Increase engine speed to greater than 2000 RPM and hold for 2 minutes. Voltage should be less than 1.9 volts. If voltage is not as specified, go to next step. If voltage is as specified, check for an intermittent problem. See TESTS W/O CODES article.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect HO2S No. 2 harness connector. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between Black/White wire and Pink wire on HO2S No. 2 component connector. If resistance is 11.7-14.3 ohms at 68°F (20°C), go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace HO2S No. 2. Retest system.
  3. Check Pink wire between HO2S No. 2 harness connector and terminal No. 4 on PCM 26-pin harness connector for open or short to ground. Repair as necessary. If wire is okay, replace PCM. Retest system.
