Impact Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Disarm SRS as outlined under Air Bag Disarming and Arming. Service and Repair

2. Disconnect forward sensor electrical connector, Fig. 8.
3. Remove sensor attaching screws, then sensor.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting following:
a. Apply thread locking compound No. 99000-32050 or equivalent, to screw threads prior to installing sensor.
b. When installing forward sensor, ensure arrow stamped on sensor faces toward vehicle front.
c. Tighten attaching screws to specifications.
d. Ensure sensor connector is properly installed and Connector Position Assurance (CAP) is properly engaged.
