Clearing Codes

NOTE: EBCM will not permit clearing of DTCs until all DTCs have been displayed. DTCs cannot be cleared by disconnecting EBCM, battery terminals or turning ignition switch to LOCK position.

Tech 1 must be used to clear DTCs. Select F2: TROUBLE CODES. After viewing all DTCs, scan tool will prompt CLEAR CODES?. Hit YES and scan tester will then read HISTORY DATA WILL BE LOST. CLEAR CODES?. Hit YES again and DTCs will be cleared.

Although not an acceptable method for clearing ABS DTCs, DTCs will also clear after 100 DTC free drive cycles. A drive cycle occurs when ignition is turned on, vehicle is driven at greater than 10 MPH and ignition is turned off.
