Cruise Indicator Light Circuit Check

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect Cruise Control Electronic Control Unit (CC ECU) harness connector. Turn ignition on. If CRUISE indicator light illuminates, repair short to ground in Green wire between combination meter and CC ECU. If CRUISE light does not illuminate, go to next step.
  2. Using jumper wire, connect CC ECU harness connector terminal No. 4 (Green wire) to ground. See Figure . Turn ignition on. If CRUISE indicator light illuminates, circuit is okay. If CRUISE indicator light does not illuminate, go to next step.
  3. Check for open Black/White or Green wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If wiring is okay, check CRUISE indicator light bulb. Replace as necessary.
