With Overdrive

[1][2]SPEEDOMETER DRIVEN GEAR

(2WD)

REMOVAL





1. Lift up vehicle horizontally or rear up.
2. Disconnect speedometer cable at extension case.
3. Remove driven gear bolt and plate.
4. Take off driven gear and from extension case.

INSTALLATION





1. Make sure that O-ring and case have not been damaged.
2. Check driven gear for abnormal wear of gear teeth or bend of the shaft and replace it if necessary.
3. Apply A/T fluid to oil seal lip and driven gear shaft.
4. Insert driven gear to case and make sure it has smooth rotation.
5. Apply A/T fluid to O-ring and install driven gear and case to extension case with plate and bolt.

Tightening Torque
(a): 10 Nm (1.0 kg-m, 7.5 ft. lbs.)
(b): 13 Nm (1.3 kg-m, 9.5 ft. lbs.)


6. Connect cable as it was.
7. Make sure that A/T fluid level is in specification.
