Torque Converter Clutch Relay: Testing and Inspection

TCC RELAY CHECK

1) Remove TCC relay with ignition switch OFF.





2) Check resistance between each two terminals.
Between terminals 2 and 4: Infinity
Between terminals 1 and 3: 79 - 95 OHMS.
If check results are as specified above, proceed to next op eration check, if not replace.





3) Check that there is continuity between terminals 2 and 4 when battery is connected to terminals 1 and 3. If found defective, replace.
4) Install relay and connect its coupler securely.
