DTC P0463 FUEL LEVEL SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH INPUT

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This signal is sent from the fuel level sensor (gauge) installed in the fuel tank. ECM uses this signal as one of the monitoring conditions for detecting diagnostic trouble code (DTC). For vehicle with tank pressure control solenoid vacuum valve, ECM also uses this signal to control tank pressure control solenoid vacuum valve.






DETECTING CONDITION

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Check to make sure that following conditions are satisfied when using this DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE.
- Intake air temp. : -14°C, 6.8°F or higher.
- Barometric pressure (Altitude) : 540 mm Hg, 72 kPa or more (2790m, 9150 ft or less).

1) Connect scan tool to DLC with ignition switch OFF.
2) Turn ON ignition switch and clear DTC. Pending DTC and freeze frame data by using scan tool.
3) Start engine and run it for 10 sec.
4) Check pending DTC and DTC by using scan tool.
