DTC P0101 MASS AIR FLOW CIRCUIT PERFORMANCE PROBLEM

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The MAF sensor consists of heat resistor, metering duct, straightening net, body, control circuit, etc.
It detects the mass flow of the air drawn into the engine and sends that information to ECM as a current signal. ECM uses the signal as one of the signals to control various devices.






DETECTING CONDITION

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Check to make sure that following conditions are satisfied when using this DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE.
- Intake air temp. : between -14°C and 70°C (6.8 °F and 156 °F).
- Atmospheric pressure: higher than 540 mmHg (Altitude :lower than 2,790m (9,150 ft)).

1) Connect scan tool to DLC with ignition switch OFF.
2) Turn ON ignition switch and clear DTC, pending DTC and freeze frame data by using scan tool.
3) Start engine and warm up it completely.
4) Increase vehicle speed till engine speed is reached 3,000-4,500 r/min.
5) Release accelerator pedal and stop vehicle.
6) Check pending DTC and DTC by using scan tool.
