BRAKELIGHT Switch

Brakelight switch delivers input signal to Cruise Control Electronic Control Unit (CC ECU) to indicate when brake pedal is depressed. When brake pedal is depressed, cruise control system operation will be canceled. Brakelight switch is located near top of brake pedal. See Figure . Brakelight switch may also be referred to as stoplight switch.
