Main Switch Indicator Light Circuit Check

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect Cruise Control Electronic Control Unit (CC ECU) harness connector. Turn ignition on. Turn cruise control main switch to ON position. If cruise control main switch indicator light does not illuminate, go to next step. If cruise control main switch indicator light illuminates, check for short to ground in Yellow wire between CC ECU and cruise control main switch.
  2. Using jumper wire, connect CC ECU harness connector terminal No. 10 (Yellow wire) to ground. Turn ignition on. If cruise control main switch indicator light illuminates, circuit is okay. If cruise control main switch indicator light does not illuminate, go to next step.
  3. Remove cruise control main switch from instrument panel. Remove bulb and check it. Replace as necessary. If bulb is okay, check for open in Black/White or Light Green/White wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
