DTC P1530: Ignition Timing Adjustment Switch CKT Malfunction
- Locate test connector next to coolant recovery bottle. Ensure test connector terminals are not grounded or jumpered. Repair as necessary. If test connector is okay, go to next step.
- Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between test switch terminal (Blue/Red wire) in monitor coupler and ground. If voltage is 10-14 volts, problem is intermittent or due to a faulty PCM. If voltage is not as specified, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM connectors. Using a DVOM, check resistance between monitor coupler terminal No. 5 and ground. If no continuity exists, replace PCM and retest system. If continuity exists, repair Blue/Red wire for short to ground and retest system.
