DTC P1510: Pcm Backup Power Supply Malfunction
- Turn ignition on. On models equipped with 3-speed automatic or manual transmission, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (White wire) at 22-pin PCM harness connector. On models equipped with 4-speed automatic transmission, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 4 (White wire) at 26-pin PCM harness connector. If voltage is 10-14 volts, check for poor PCM harness connections. If connections are okay, replace PCM. If voltage is not as specified, check condition of TAIL fuse (15-amp) and MAIN fuses (30-amp and 80-amp). If fuses are okay, go to next step. If fuses are blown, check for short circuit and repair as necessary. Retest system.
- Check for an open in White wire between PCM and fuse box. Check for open in White/Yellow wire between fuse box in passenger compartment and relay/fuse box in engine compartment. Repair as necessary. If wires are okay, check for an intermittent problem. See TESTS W/O CODES article.
