DTC P1410: Fuel Tank Pressure Control System Malfunction
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM harness connectors. On models equipped with 3-speed automatic or manual transmission, measure resistance between terminal No. 7 (Green/Blue wire) at 26-pin PCM harness connector and terminal No. 13 (Blue/Black wire) at 22-pin PCM connector. On models equipped with 4-speed automatic transmission, measure resistance between terminal No. 12 (Green/Blue wire) at 12-pin PCM harness connector and terminal No. 16 (Blue/Black wire) at 26-pin PCM harness connector. If resistance is 28-36 ohms, check for poor PCM harness connections. Repair as necessary. If connections are okay, replace PCM and retest system. If resistance is not as specified, go to next step.
- Disconnect tank pressure control solenoid harness connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance of solenoid. If resistance is 28-36 ohms, check Green/Blue wire for an open or short to ground, or an open in Blue/Black wire. Repair as necessary. If resistance is not as specified, replace tank pressure control solenoid and retest system.
