DTC P0443: Evaporative (EVAP) Control System Purge Flow Incorrect

  1. Check canister purge system. See DTC P0440  : EVAPORATIVE (EVAP) CONTROL SYSTEM MALFUNCTION OR DTC P0455: EVAPORATIVE (EVAP) CONTROL SYSTEM LEAK DETECTED, beginning with step 1). If canister purge system does not operate properly, go to next step. If canister purge system is okay, check EVAP canister. See step 18) under DTC P0440  : EVAPORATIVE (EVAP) CONTROL SYSTEM MALFUNCTION OR DTC P0455: EVAPORATIVE (EVAP) CONTROL SYSTEM LEAK DETECTED. Repair as necessary. If EVAP canister is okay, replace PCM and retest system.
  2. Check EVAP canister purge valve, vacuum hoses and circuit. See DTC P0440  : EVAPORATIVE (EVAP) CONTROL SYSTEM MALFUNCTION OR DTC P0455: EVAPORATIVE (EVAP) CONTROL SYSTEM LEAK DETECTED, beginning with step 8). Repair as necessary. If purge system is okay, replace PCM and retest system.
