DTC 94: Brake Switch Contacts Always Closed: Description

DTC 94 can be set when vehicle speed reaches at least 25 MPH, and brake switch was not open during 2 consecutive drive cycles. DTC 94 is run to determine proper operation of brake switch. ABS mode is activated only when brake switch is closed and deactivated when brake switch is open. If brake switch is always closed, ABS will always be requested, resulting in possible discharged battery complaint due to brake lights always illuminated.
