Clutch Pedal Position Switch Circuit Check (M/T)
- Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect Cruise Control Electronic Control Unit (CC ECU) harness connector. Turn ignition on. Check continuity between ground and CC ECU harness connector terminal No. 9 (Blue/Red wire on Esteem; Blue wire on Sidekick 1.8L and X90). See Figure . With clutch pedal depressed, continuity should exist. With clutch pedal released, continuity should not exist.
- If continuity is not as specified, check clutch pedal position switch for proper installation. See CLUTCH PEDAL POSITION SWITCH ADJUSTMENT (M/T) under ADJUSTMENTS. If clutch pedal position switch is adjusted properly, check clutch pedal position switch. See CLUTCH PEDAL POSITION SWITCH TESTS (M/T) under COMPONENT TESTS.
