Diagnostic Testing: Notes

NOTE: When trouble shooting transmission, first perform a functional check of the self-diagnostic system. See PCM ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If a DTC is retrieved, perform appropriate DTC test. If no DTC is retrieved, and a transmission fault is present, perform manual shifting test to determine if fault is caused by an electrical or mechanical related problem.
