DTC P1510: Pcm Backup Power Supply Malfunction
- Turn ignition on. On models with manual transmission, measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and PCM harness connector "A" terminal No. 14 (White wire). On models with automatic transmission and/or EVAP-II, measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and PCM harness connector "A" terminal No. 13 (White wire). Reading should be 10-14 volts. If voltage is as specified, check for poor connections at PCM. If connections are okay, replace PCM. If voltage is not as specified, check for blown TAIL fuse (15-amp) or blown MAIN fuse (60-amp). If fuses are okay, go to next step. If fuses are blown, check for short circuit and repair as necessary. Retest system.
- Check for open in White wire between PCM and fuse box. Check for open in White/Yellow wire between fuse box in passenger compartment and relay/fuse box in engine compartment. Repair as necessary. If wires are okay, check for an intermittent problem. See TESTS W/O CODES article.
