Cruise Control Main Switch Tests

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect cruise control main switch harness connector. Remove cruise control main switch from instrument panel. Check resistance between main switch IG and LOAD terminals. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 .
  2. With cruise control main switch in the OFF position, reading should be infinite. With cruise control main switch in the ON position, resistance should be about 3.9 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace cruise control main switch.
