Clutch Pedal Assembly: Service and Repair

MAINTENANCE SERVICE
CLUTCH PEDAL HEIGHT





Adjust clutch pedal height by adjust bolt (1) located on pedal bracket so that clutch pedal height exceeds brake pedal height by 5 mm (0.2 inch) and tighten lock nut (2).

Height difference "a": 5 mm (0.20 inch)

CLUTCH PEDAL FREE TRAVEL





1. Depress clutch pedal, stop the moment clutch resistance is felt and measure distance (clutch pedal free travel). Free travel should be within following specifications.

Pedal free travel "b": 15 - 25 mm (0.6 - 1.1 inch)





2. If free travel is out of specification, adjust it with joint nut (2), while making sure that outer cable nuts (3) are tightened around the center of outer cable thread portion.

Tightening Torque
(a): 18 Nm (1.8 kg-m, 13.0 ft. lbs.)

Free travel of release arm
"c": 0.5 - 1.5 mm (0.02 - 0.06 inch)
"A": Grease 99000-25010

3. Check to make sure free travel at clutch pedal and also clutch function with engine run.
