Brake Drum: Service and Repair

1. Engage parking brake, then raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove wheels and brake drum nuts, then release parking brake lever.
3. Loosen parking brake cable locking nut, then lift rear part of brake lever cover to access brake cable.
4. Remove brake drum by fitting two 8 mm bolts into holes on drum and extracting drum off wheel hub.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten drum nuts to specification.
b. Depress brake pedal five times to obtain proper drum to shoe clearance.
