INSPECTION PROCEDURE

FAILURE CONDITION:
DTC 17 can be set before the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) commands the Antilock Brake System (ABS) enable relay on. This test determines if the relay is energized When it should not be.This malfunction would not allow the ABS enable relay to remove power to the ABS. If a second malfunction were to occur that requires the relay to be turned off were to occur, that malfunction can not be removed if the relay can not be controlled.
