Removal & Installation: Compressor: Removal

- Disable air bag system. See the AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article in ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section. Disconnect negative battery cable. Discharge A/C system, using approved refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment. Remove compressor clutch wiring harness connector.
- Remove refrigerant lines and "O" rings at compressor. Cap all refrigerant line openings. Raise and support vehicle. Remove right side engine under cover.
- Loosen idler pulley bolt and remove compressor drive belt. Remove compressor mounting bolts. Remove compressor from bottom of vehicle.
