Clutch Switch: Adjustments

CLUTCH PEDAL POSITION (CPP) SWITCH
(for cruise control)





Removal
1) Disconnect CPP switch connector with ignition switch OFF
2) Remove CPP switch from pedal bracket.





Inspection
1) Disconnect CPP switch coupler and remove the switch from pedal bracket.
2) Check for continuity.
It should exist when switch button is released and it shouldn't when it is pushed.
If check result is not satisfactory, replace.
3) Adjustment should be made as follows when installing switch.
When clutch pedal is released, adjust switch position so that clearance between end of thread and clutch pedal bracket (shown as "a" in figure) is within 0.5 - 1.0 mm (0.02 - 0.04 in.).
Then tighten lock nut to specified torque.

Clearance "a": 0.5 - 1.0 mm (0.02 - 0.04 in.)

Tightening Torque
(a) 13 N.m (1.3 kg-m, 9.5 lb-ft)

4) Install CPP switch to pedal bracket after connecting its coupler.
