DTC P0107: Map Sensor Circuit Low Input
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition on. Select MAP sensor parameter. If display reads 5 kPa or less, go to next step. If display reading is more than 5 kPa, check for an intermittent problem. See TESTS W/O CODES article.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect MAP sensor harness connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and Pink/Green wire at MAP sensor harness connector. Record reading. Measure voltage between ground and Green wire at MAP sensor harness connector. If reading is 4-6 volts on both circuits, go to next step. If readings are not 4-6 volts, check Pink/Green wire for an open or short to ground or Green wire for short to ground. Check for poor connection at PCM harness connector "B". Repair as necessary. If connections are okay, replace PCM.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect vacuum hose from MAP sensor. Remove MAP sensor. Connect three 1.5 volt batteries in series. Connect positive terminal of batteries to "Voltage in" terminal at MAP sensor. Connect negative terminal of batteries to "Ground" terminal at MAP sensor. See Fig 1 .
- Measure voltage between "Voltage out" terminal and "Ground" terminal at MAP sensor. Ensure output voltage is as specified. See MAP SENSOR OUTPUT VOLTAGE table. Ensure voltage decreases as vacuum (up to 15 in. Hg) is supplied to MAP sensor. Replace MAP sensor if voltage is not as specified. If MAP sensor voltage is as specified, reinstall MAP sensor and replace PCM.
