DTC P0113: Intake Air Temp. (IAT) Circuit High Input
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition on. Select IAT parameter. If display reads -40°F (-40°C), go to next step. If display reading is not -40°F (-40°C), check for an intermittent problem. See TESTS W/O CODES article.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect IAT sensor harness connector located next to air cleaner housing. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and Gray/Red wire of IAT sensor harness connector. Reading should be 4-6 volts. If reading is as specified, go to next step. If reading is not as specified, check Gray/Red wire for short to battery power. Repair as necessary. If wiring is okay, replace PCM.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM harness connector "B". Check continuity between Green/Red wire at IAT sensor harness connector and PCM harness connector "B", terminal No. 9. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, check Green/Red wire for an open or poor connection. Repair as necessary. Retest system.
- Connect PCM harness connector. Using a fused jumper wire, jumper terminals at IAT sensor harness connector together. Turn ignition on. If display on scan tool reads 246°F (119°C), replace IAT sensor. If display reading is not 246°F (119°C), check Green/Red wire for an open. If wire is okay, replace PCM. Retest system.
