Bench Testing: Stator
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1996 Suzuki Swift and 1995 Suzuki Swift. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- To test stator for an open circuit, use ohmmeter to check for continuity between each electrical lead on the stator. See Fig 1 .
- Continuity should exist between all electrical leads. Replace stator if no continuity exists between any electrical leads.
- To test stator for a grounded circuit, use ohmmeter to check for continuity between each electrical lead on the stator and the outside of the stator. See Fig 1 . Replace stator if continuity exists between any electrical lead and the outside of the stator.
