DTC 66: Rear Motor Circuit Shorted To Battery: Description
EBCM detects out of range voltage on rear motor circuit (indicating a circuit shorted to battery or motor shorted).
- If DTC 66 occurs intermittently, seDIAGNOSTIC AIDS . If DTC is currently set, turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect 6-pin harness connector from motor pack on ABS actuator. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 4 (Pink wire) on motor pack harness connector. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Pink wire for short to voltage.
- Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Pink/Black wire) on motor pack harness connector. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Pink/Black wire for short to voltage.
- Turn ignition to LOCK position. Measure resistance between terminals No. 3 (Pink/Black wire) and 4 (Pink wire) on motor pack connector. If resistance is greater than .4 ohms, replace EBCM. If resistance is .4 ohms or less, replace motor pack.
