DTC 64: Rear Motor Circuit Open: Description
EBCM detects out of range voltage on either rear motor circuit (indicating an open circuit).
- If DTC 64 occurs intermittently, seDIAGNOSTIC AIDS . If DTC is currently set, turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect 6-pin harness connector from motor pack on ABS actuator. Measure resistance between terminals No. 3 (Pink/Black) and 4 (Pink) on motor pack connector. If resistance is less than 2000 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 2000 ohms or greater, replace motor pack.
- Disconnect EBCM harness connectors. Measure resistance of Pink wire between terminal No. 4 on motor pack harness connector and terminal No. 3 on EBCM 8-pin harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair Pink wire.
- Measure resistance of Pink/Black wire between terminal No. 3 on motor pack harness connector and terminal No. 4 on EBCM 8-pin harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace EBCM. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair Pink/Black wire.
