DTC 62: Right Front Motor Circuit Shorted To Ground: Description

EBCM detects out of range voltage on either right front motor circuit (indicating a circuit shorted to ground).

1. If DTC 62 occurs intermittently, seDIAGNOSTIC AIDS . If DTC is currently set, turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect 6-pin harness connector from motor pack on ABS actuator. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 2 (Brown wire) on motor pack harness connector. If resistance is infinite, go to next step. If resistance is not infinite, repair Brown wire for short to ground.
2. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 5 (Brown/Black wire) on motor pack harness connector. If resistance is infinite, go to next step. If resistance is not infinite, repair Brown/Black wire for short to ground.
3. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 6 on motor pack component connector. If resistance is infinite, replace EBCM. If resistance is not infinite, replace motor pack.
