DTC 61: Right Front Motor Circuit Open: Description

EBCM detects out of range voltage on either right front motor circuit (indicating an open circuit).

1. If DTC 61 occurs intermittently, seDIAGNOSTIC AIDS . If DTC is currently set, turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect 6-pin harness connector from motor pack on ABS actuator. Measure resistance between terminals No. 1 (Brown/Black) and 2 (Brown) on motor pack connector. If resistance is less than 2000 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 2000 ohms or greater, replace motor pack.
2. Disconnect EBCM harness connectors. Measure resistance of Brown wire between terminal No. 2 on motor pack harness connector and terminal No. 5 on EBCM 8-pin harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair Brown wire.
3. Measure resistance of Brown/Black wire between terminal No. 1 on motor pack harness connector and terminal No. 6 on EBCM 8-pin harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace EBCM. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair Brown/Black wire.
