Shift Lock Solenoid

REMOVAL

1. Shift selector lever to P range.
2. Remove lever knob, center console and then selector.
3. Disconnect interlock cable from key interlock cam of selector.





4. Remove shift lock solenoid assembly from housing.

INSTALLATION
1. Loosen location spring screw.
2. With shifting selector lever to P position, install solenoid assembly to housing.





3. Align location spring end with guide groove and tighten spring screw securely.
4. Apply grease to guide grooves and detent pin.
5. Install select indicator and lever knob.
6. Connect interlock cable to cam.
7. Check to confirm that brake (key) interlock system operates properly.
8. Install center console.
