With 3-Speed A/T

  1. Apply parking brake. Disconnect 2-terminal harness connector at shift switch, located on side of transmission. SeeFigure . Connect ohmmeter between terminals on shift switch.
  2. Check that continuity exists with shift lever in Park and Neutral. Check that continuity does not exist with shift lever in any other gears. Replace shift switch if continuity is not as specified.
