Test Description
Diagnosing DTCs in correct order is important. Failure to diagnose DTCs in order specified may result in extended diagnostic time, incorrect diagnosis and incorrect part replacement.
NOTE:

- This test confirms a current malfunction. If no current malfunction is occurring (History DTC set), refer to DIAGNOSTIC AIDS for appropriate DTC. Do not replace SDM for a History DTC.
- This test checks for malfunction introduced during diagnostic process.
- When all circuits outside SDM have been found to operate properly, then and only then should SDM be replaced.
WARNING:
To avoid air bag deployment and injury when trouble shooting system, only use test equipment specified in diagnostic charts. Under no circumstances should battery powered test equipment or test light be used. carefully follow all instructions.
