With 3-Speed A/T

  1. Apply parking brake. Disconnect 2-terminal harness connector at park/neutral position switch. Connect ohmmeter between terminals on park/neutral position switch.
  2. Check that continuity exists with shift lever in Park and Neutral. Check that continuity does not exist with shift lever in any other gears. If continuity is not as specified, adjust or replace switch as necessary.
