Brake Switch Circuit Check

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect harness connector at CC ECU. Depress brake pedal. Using voltmeter, check voltage between ground and CC ECU harness connector terminal No. 4 (Green/White wire) with brake pedal depressed. SeeFig 1 . Voltage should be 10-14 volts.
  2. If voltage is not within specification, check fuses, wiring and harness connectors. See appropriate wiring diagram under WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair fuses, wiring or harness connectors as necessary.
  3. If fuses, wiring and harness connectors are okay, check brakelight switch. See BRAKELIGHT SWITCH TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS.
