DTC P1510: Pcm Backup Power Supply Malfunction

  1. Turn ignition on. On models with manual transmission, measure voltage (backprobe) between PCM harness connector "A", terminal No. 14 (White wire) and ground. On models with automatic transmission, measure voltage (backprobe) between PCM harness connector "A", terminal No. 13 (White wire) and ground. If voltage is 10-14 volts, check for poor connections at PCM. If connections are okay, replace PCM. If voltage is not as specified, check for blown TAIL fuse (15-amp) or blown MAIN fuse (60-amp). If fuses are okay, go to next step. If fuses are blown, check for short circuit and repair as necessary. Retest system.
  2. Check for open in White wire between PCM and fuse box. Check for open in White/Yellow wire between fuse box in passenger compartment and relay/fuse box in engine compartment. Repair as necessary. If wires are okay, check for an intermittent problem. See TESTS W/O CODES article.
