DTC P1510: ECM Backup Power Supply Malfunction
- Turn ignition on. On models with 3-speed automatic or manual transmission, measure voltage between ground and PCM harness connector "C", terminal No. 1 (White wire). On models with 4-speed automatic transmission, measure voltage between ground and PCM harness connector "A", terminal No. 4 (White wire). If reading is 10-14 volts, check for poor connections at PCM. If connections are okay, replace PCM. If reading is not as specified, check for blown 15-amp TAIL fuse or blown 80-amp and 30-amp MAIN fuses. If fuses are okay, go to next step. If fuses are blown, check for short circuit and repair as necessary. Retest system.
- Check for open White wire between PCM and fuse box. Check for open White/Yellow wire between fuse box in passenger compartment and relay/fuse box in engine compartment. Repair as necessary. If wires are okay, check for an intermittent problem. See TESTS W/O CODES article.
