Diagnostic Testing: Notes

When trouble shooting transaxle, first check for stored DTCs. Perform ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) SYSTEM CHECK before diagnosing any DTCs. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Repair as necessary. If no DTCs are present, perform manual shifting test to determine if problem is electrical or mechanical related.
