Brake Light Switch: Adjustments

CLEARANCE "B"
Adjustment should be made as follows when installing switch.
^ Pull up on brake pedal and while holding it there, adjust switch position so that clearance between end of thread and brake pedal return cushion (shown as "a" in figure). Clearance "b" is 1.5 - 2.0 mm (0.06 - 0.08 inch.)
^ Then tighten lock nut (b) to 7.5 Nm (5.5 ft. lbs.)
